Agriculture Services Department

To facilitate and support the development of a sustainable, diversified and competitive agricultural sector that assures food security and increased incomes and also increase the agricultural sector’s contribution to Gross Domestic Product.

The Department wishes to accomplish its functions through the following departmental objectives:

  1. To manage and coordinate all agricultural activities in the district
  2. To provide extension services to fishers and farmers
  3. To collect data and survey
  4. To plan and budget for agricultural activities
