Yesterday,Kabwe Municipal Council was honored to host a delegation from Choma Municipal Council, comprising Councillors from Choma Central and Mbabala Constituencies, along with key management devolved  officers from livestock and fisheries departments.
The visiting team, on a knowledge-sharing mission, was warmly received by Kabwe’s Mayor, Hon. Patrick Chishala, the Deputy Mayor, and Councilors from the three standing committees from engineering, planning and agriculture committees.

The program commenced with a courtesy call at the Mayor’s office, followed by a visit to the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Central Province, Dr. Milner Mwanakampwe (represented by Assistant Secretary Mr. Brave Mazuba). The District Commissioner also joined the discussions, highlighting recent district developments, including the soon-to-be-launched Mulungushi Textiles.

Informative presentations were delivered by:
✅ Engineering Services – Road network management
✅ Forestry Department – Afforestation, community forests, and honey production
✅ Agriculture Department – Value addition in agricultural products
✅ Chamber of Commerce – Trade and industry ecosystem in Kabwe
The tour concluded with a site visit to Kawasaki Agriculture Camp, a thriving cooperative specializing in mushroom production.
